Meet the Ohmu Shawl, a cute little accessory I designed last summer which turned out to be homage to one of my all time favorite artists Hayao Miyazaki. It’s a fast and fun knit that combines garter stitch with a contrasting color bobble row. While knitting the bobble row I realized how much it reminded me of the Ohmu from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and that’s how the pattern got its name. This was a fun knit that traveled with me on many road trips last summer. I used 1 skein of Maiden from Ritual Dyes and part of a skein of Perennial from Kelbourne Woolens for mine and just love how simple it is to style this one! I totally get why skinny scarfs are so popular.
