I designed this shawl for Lolabean Yarn Co. using a 3 color gradient with a contrasting color pop for the eyelets and border. The crescent shape combines 1 and 2 color brioche in alternating columns between eyelet rows to make a strong but graceful architectural look. I wanted to knit a go to fingering weight brioche slouch hat that could be knit in 1 or 2 colors using the same 2 skeins of yarn. You can easily get 3 hats out of the same two 400 yard skeins (one 2 color, and 2 one color). Or use left overs from bigger projects as each hat takes under 250 yards. The hat is one size fits most, 8” x 18” (super stretchy, will fit up a 22-25” head comfortably). I knit mine using Mister Wool Mr. Merino Singles. You will have access to both the 1 Color and the 2 Color version as individual pdf downloads.

This stylish unisex hat is knit in a combination of the 2 color brioche stitch and garter stitch using brioche increases and decreases to create an intricate pattern that was inspired by the wheat plant. Measuring 20” around x 9” long, the hat is very stretchy, one size fits most. You will need 2 colors of fingering weight yarn. The light and dark grey sample was knit in 2 colors of Lolabean Yarn Co. Wax Bean. The pink and black sample was knit in Neighborhood Fiber Co. Rustic Fingering.

This fun cowl utilizes 2 color brioche and garter stitch to make a fun plaid looking cowl. I used 2 colors of worsted weight yarn (my sample was knit with Malabrigo Rios), it’s knit in entirely in the round and is very squishy and stretchy.
